Experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, PoE and wireless fundamentals. Be comfortable reading port maps, identifying uplinks and explaining test results to remote support.
Laptop with Ethernet capability, console cables and adapters, cable tester, toner, patch leads, hand tools and mobile connectivity. Additional survey tools depend on scope.
Provide labeled rack and device photographs, serial numbers, port changes, test results and any unresolved issues. Configuration changes must follow client authorization.
Communicate arrival and progress, protect customer property and information, follow site safety procedures and escalate blockers promptly. Coterie requires dispatched technicians to complete background checks and drug screening before assignment.
